Anna A. Dwyer
An excellent communicator with a friendly manner, Anna Dwyer helps take the stress out of complex legal matters. She works with her clients to understand their goals and then achieve them. Anna’s clients know that her work is for—and about—them.
Her practice focuses on the broad array of legal issues associated with complex commercial real estate transactions, from due diligence to negotiations to closing these deals. She has experience with single property and multi-property portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing transactions, and lending transactions, including construction financing. She has represented educational institutions, banks, hedge funds, REITs, and real estate investment firms across a wide range of industries.
Before entering private practice, Anna worked for one of the largest food service wholesalers and distributors in the U.S., where she conducted real estate due diligence and worked on general corporate legal transactions. She also formerly worked for a large European energy company within its commodity trading division, where she negotiated contracts and was actively involved in building partnerships with various gas and power companies across the U.S.
While in law school at Northwestern, Anna served as a senior editor for the Northwestern Journal of International Law and Business. She has been an active volunteer with both the Southern Poverty Law Center and Illinois Legal Aid Online. Outside of work, she and her husband are ambitious amateur cooks and travelers.
